Beckerman Recreation Center opened in December 2007. This 56,000 sq. ft. multipurpose recreation facility consists of 6,000 sq. ft. of dedicated fitness space featuring state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment, 1/10th-mile suspended indoor jogging/walking track, a two-court gymnasium for basketball, volleyball and badminton, an enclosed multi-activity court designed for a variety of activities including floor hockey and indoor soccer, racquetball court, functional fitness space, two group exercise performance studios, a juice bar, locker rooms and lounge spaces. In 2009, the facility received an Architectural Showcase award from Athletic Business magazine.   The Assistant Director – Fitness, Wellness, and Adventure Recreation is responsible for developing, implementing, and offering Fitness, Wellness, and Adventure Recreation programming for the University community.

This may include, but is not limited to, integrated marketing with social media, email, digital displays, (internal) radio, mobile device and web platforms in a variety of ways. The Digital Marketing Specialist will also assist with customer/visitor engagement activities, analysis of digital performance metrics and analytics, and campaign planning. In addition, the Digital Marketing Specialist will also assist in marketing support and outreach activities as necessary, such as photography, video work, tabling, and special event support.   Marketing, by nature, is a collaborative, creative and constructive environment.
