Responsibilities

The Aquatic Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of routine aquatic operations of multiple pools and splash pad. The Aquatic Supervisor will lead the management of the pool technology and systems to support the safe operation of all water based facilities and aquatic event operations.

 

This position will work on-site at our Mylan Park, West Virginia client location. The Aquatic Center includes a fully accessible 90,000 sq. ft. facility, featuring a zero-depth-entry six-lane community pool with water features and slides, an Olympic-sized competition swimming pool with a separate diving (spring and platform) pool, an outdoor splash pad, dynamic fitness room, outdoor track and so much more. The Aquatic Center has become a local hub of sports tourism by hosting elite-level regional and national events.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare for all competitive events under supervision of Assistant Director of Aquatic Operations
  • Set up and use electronic timing and judging equipment, cables, scoreboard, computers, software as well as Internet streaming broadcast cameras, hardware, software to run events
  • Support operation all timing/judging systems, testing/trouble shooting all systems and in-water timing/judging equipment
  • Support or provide outbound broadcast streaming when necessary
  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance of audiovisual systems and equipment
  • Inventory and submit purchase orders for equipment replacements as needed
  • Train part-time staff on AV set up and troubleshooting techniques
  • Perform IT functions for the facility
  • Ensure network functions for the purpose of meet reporting and streaming
  • Ensure that maintenance and pump systems maintain Internet connectivity
  • Manage facility access control systems

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of work experience
  • Experience with maintenance and operation of pool technology and software

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to collaborate with multiple staff to achieve success
  • Ability to assess and take prompt action on response to incidents 
  • Ability to write reports
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for pool mechanical and operation equipment
  • Ability to improve performance and effectiveness of areas of responsibility through regular assessment

  • Walking and working in warm temperature and high noise areas
  • Must be able to traverse throughout buildings and park. Regularly ascending/descending building levels and occasionally ladders or stools.
  • Must be able to discuss, converse with, and exchange accurate information with patrons, staff, stakeholders, etc.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
