CENTERS' management approach is customized for each client yet retains our uniform quality. Our firm unites site staff with a centralized administrative team, each contributing to the firm's goals and client needs. The CENTERS team is innovative, entrepreneurial, trail-blazing, and ambitious for both CENTERS and our clients. Today, CENTERS provides management services for 14 clients.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Coordinator, Aquatics & Safety with the oversight, training, and supervision of
    Aquatics staff, including hiring, scheduling, and completion of bi-weekly payroll.
  • Lead disciplinary meetings with part-time student staff.
  • Conduct part-time staff meetings with the assistance of the Coordinator, Aquatics & Safety
  • Create, develop, and enforce policies and procedures, budget oversight, and revenue
    projections as it relates to the aquatics department.
  • Inventory and purchase first aid supplies for the Recreation Center and Student Center.
  • Attend mandatory meetings including full-staff and assigned committee meetings.
  • Program/plan one special event or program each academic year.
  • Evening/Weekend work as required.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Lead certification courses in Lifeguarding and CPR/AED/First Aid for Professional Rescuer.
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings hosted by the University Recreation and Wellbeing
    department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Higher Education, Education, or related field.
  • Acceptance into the College of Graduate Studies at Cleveland State University.
  • Current certifications in Lifeguarding and CPR/AED/First Aid Professional Rescuer, or the
    ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a professional team that collaborates
    effectively with colleagues.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment that values entrepreneurial spirit, high expectations,
    accountability, and balanced lifestyles.

  • Sitting at desk or table for at least 70% of the work day
  • Walking or working with facilities 30% of the work day
  • Repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement (while operating computer equipment)
  • Occasional bending, stooping
  • Eye-hand coordination (keyboard typing)
  • Hearing and talking
