Our firm unites site staff with a centralized administrative team, each contributing to the firm's goals and client needs. The CENTERS team is innovative, entrepreneurial, trail-blazing, and ambitious for both CENTERS and our clients. Today, CENTERS provides management services for 14 clients.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure members and guests are properly using fitness equipment
  • Assist members and guests with answering questions related to fitness equipment
  • Maintain fitness equipment including cleaning, re-aligning equipment throughout the floor, re-racking weights and straightening activity spaces
  • Ensure equipment towels are cleaned and replaced throughout the fitness floor twice a day
  • Maintain integrity of the building by ensuring all cleaning solutions, soap dispensers, paper towels and toilet paper are properly stocked in restrooms throughout the facility
  • Ensure equipment sanitizing solutions bottles are filled and stocked at the appropriate locations
  • Ensure cleanliness of the building by completing assigned checklists in all restrooms, lounge areas and activity spaces including basketball courts, track, racquetball courts, and the MAC
  • Be a point of contact for members that need lockers unlocked
  • Providing an outstanding customer experience by answering general facility and program questions and directing members and guests to proper locations
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for URec members and guests by educating them on policies and standards set forth by University Recreation in all activity spaces
  • Understand and demonstrate competencies in department Emergency Action Plan
  • Participate in risk management building audits each semester
  • Attend all staff trainings and meetings
  • Assist the Graduate Assistant and professional staff with additional responsibilities or projects as requested

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled as a student of Jacksonville State
  • Current certification in CPR/First Aid/AED or ability to obtain prior to working
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Arrive promptly for shifts and presenting a professional
  • Ability to thrive in an environment that values high expectations, accountability, and balanced lifestyles
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Ability to organize and complete tasks in a timely
  • Maintain professionalism and discretion when dealing with departmental
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivate but also work as part of a
  • Detail – oriented and able to work quickly and efficiently on a deadline
