Our firm unites site staff with a centralized administrative team, each contributing to the firm's goals and client needs. The CENTERS team is innovative, entrepreneurial, trail-blazing, and ambitious for both CENTERS and our clients. Today, CENTERS provides management services for 14 clients. The part-time service technician is responsible for supporting the general maintenance, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of the building and surrounding property. This role ensures that all areas of the facility are maintained in a safe, clean, and orderly manner in accordance with established standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Facility Management:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the facility by performing routine custodial responsibilities, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming of facility spaces.
  • Assist in conducting preventive maintenance and minor repairs to facility and fitness equipment.
  • Collect and properly dispose of waste and recyclables throughout the premises.
  • Clean and restock restrooms, shower areas, and related facilities on a regular basis.
  • Clean glass surfaces, windows, mirrors, and other fixtures to maintain a polished and sanitary appearance.
  • Perform scheduled deep-cleaning tasks and assist with periodic special cleaning projects.
  • Assist with the setup, arrangement, and breakdown of furniture and equipment for meetings, events, and other functions.
  • Utilize chemical cleaners and power equipment in compliance with OSHA safety standards and facility protocols.
  • Operate custodial equipment, including floor scrubbers, vacuums, sweepers, and various hand tools.
  • Conduct daily facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, potential hazards, and non-routine cleaning requirements.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the facility by following established procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in custodial services, building maintenance, or related field is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of cleaning methods, maintenance techniques, and the safe use of equipment and chemicals.
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds, and to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as operational needs require.

Technical Competencies

Physical Demands

  • Standing or walking for over 70% of the work day
  • Ability to lift 45lbs or more on a regular basis
  • 4-6 hours of continuous standing and walking
  • Repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement
  • Operation of various hand and power tools
  • Operation of equipment such as a scissors lift.
  • Bending, stooping
