PT Facility Services Technician

CENTERS, LLC is a professional management firm specializing in facility, operation, and program management for higher education. CENTERS' management approach is customized for each client yet retains our uniform quality. Our firm unites site staff with a centralized administrative team, each contributing to the firm's goals and client needs. The CENTERS team is innovative, entrepreneurial, trail-blazing, and ambitious for both CENTERS and our clients. Today, CENTERS provides management services for 14 clients. The part-time service technician is responsible for supporting the general maintenance, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of the building and surrounding property. This role ensures that all areas of the facility are maintained in a safe, clean, and orderly manner in accordance with established standards and regulatory requirements.

Facility Management:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in custodial services, building maintenance, or related field is preferred.
• Working knowledge of cleaning methods, maintenance techniques, and the safe use of equipment and chemicals.
• Ability to lift, move, and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds, and to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as operational needs require.

Technical Competencies

• Familiarity with safe operation of hand tools

Physical Demands

• Standing or walking for over 70% of the work day
• Ability to lift 45lbs or more on a regular basis
• 4-6 hours of continuous standing and walking
• Repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement
• Operation of various hand and power tools
• Operation of equipment such as a scissors lift.
• Bending, stooping
• Eye-hand coordination
• Hearing and talking
• Extended periods of reading fine print
