    Responsibilities

    Essential Responsibilities:

    This Customer Experience Ambassador will be the entry level position into the operations side of the department. This position will be staffed across four different locations throughout the building rotating throughout their shifts.

     

    Specific Responsibilities: 

    Access: This Ambassador location will be responsible for providing an outstanding customer experience for our members while controlling access into the Fitness and Wellness Center. The specific responsibilities of this location include:

    • Monitoring access into Fitness and Wellness Center by swiping in members via their JSU ID and ensuring the correct people are accessing the facility.
    • Answering general facility and program questions, answering phone calls, monitoring building reservations, directing members and guests to proper locations, educating members and guests on proper entry and building policies.
    • Policy Enforcement- educating patrons on policies including but not limited to ID checks, food/drink policies and facility policies
    • Complete general cleaning at the access portion of the desk area: wiping down counters, blowing out keyboards, cleaning card readers, organizing any paperwork, etc.
    • Assisting with equipment checkout as needed.

    Equipment Checkout: This Ambassador location will be responsible for providing an outstanding customer experience for our members while checking in and out sporting and fitness equipment, as well as input racquetball reservations. The specific responsibilities of this location include:

    • Answering general facility and program questions, directing members and guests to proper locations, answering phones, checking in and out sporting and fitness equipment.
    • Ensuring equipment checkout items are properly maintained and monitored to prevent misuse and damage to equipment.
    • Complete general cleaning at equipment checkout portion of the desk area by maintaining and cleaning rental equipment by sanitizing equipment, wiping down counters, blowing out keyboards, cleaning card readers, organizing any paperwork, etc.
    • Maintain a stocked inventory of both hand and body towels that are available for checkout
    • Assisting access as needed.

    First Floor Fitness Location: This Ambassador location will be responsible for providing an outstanding customer experience for our members while maintaining a safe and clean workout environment for our members and guests. The specific responsibilities of this location include:

    • Ensure members and guests are properly using workout equipment.
    • Enforcing policies and standards for the weight room area set forth by the department.
    • Maintaining weight room equipment including sanitizing equipment, re-racking weights, assisting with re-aligning equipment throughout the floor, ensuring equipment towels are cleaned and replaced according to the set standards.
    • Assist members and guests with answering questions related to the fitness equipment.
    • Complete general cleaning checklist for weight room area.

    Second Floor Rover:  This Ambassador location will be responsible for providing an outstanding customer experience for our members while maintaining a safe and clean workout environment for our members and guests. The specific responsibilities of this location include:

    • Ensure members and guests are properly using workout equipment.
    • Enforcing policies and standards for the second-floor fitness areas that are set forth by the department.
    • Maintaining cardio equipment including sanitizing equipment, assisting with re-aligning equipment throughout the floor, ensuring equipment towels are cleaned and replaced according to the set standards.
    • Assist members and guests with answering questions related to the fitness equipment.
    • Monitoring second floor workout areas (studios, F45 location, track, stretching areas, etc.)
    • Complete general second floor cleaning checklist.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Must obtain American Red Cross CPR/AED & First Aid certification prior to working
    • Ability to work independently
    • Leadership and supervisory abilities
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
