    Responsibilities

    • Ensure cleanliness of the entire facility throughout shift
    • Assist patrons with concerns, or questions, providing exemplary customer service
    • Assist the Facility Manager and Professional Staff with tasks as requested
    • Continuously monitor second and third floor fitness, to ensure the safety of patrons, proper use of equipment, and enforce fitness floor policies
    • Monitor and collect trash throughout the facility, taking it to the dumpster as needed
    • Various custodial responsibilities 
    • Ensure that all restroom, and locker facilities are sanitary and presentable
    • Perform setups for patrons, rentals, and special events as needed
    • Understand and demonstrate competencies in department Emergency Action Plan
    • Collect facility laundry throughout the day; wash, dry, and fold towels as needed
    • Monitor informal basketball to ensure safety of members
    • Ensure that all televisions in the facility are on, and set to the correct channel when facility is open, and turned off at close
    • Perform fitness class check-ins, tracking fitness participation, and exuding excellent customer service
    • Keep up with daily task lists, maintaining floors, and equipment
    • Know and enforce all facility policies
    • Report any equipment or facility issues to the Facility Manager
    • Attend all staff trainings and meetings

    Qualifications

    • Degree seeking student at Marshall University
    • Must obtain basic American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED certification prior to working
    • Leadership and supervisory abilities
    • Ability to work independently
    • Ability to thrive in an environment that values high expectations, accountability, and balanced lifestyles
    • Available to work early morning shifts (4:00am) and weekends periodically as scheduled
